Creative game for summer
Happy Friday dear readers!!!
How are you? Here in Spain we are roasting like chickens... 🥵 With this extreme heat, it is difficult to go out until well after the afternoon and, unless you have a place to relax, it is easy to fall into boredom.
Today I propose an alternative plan to the typical nap to combat downtime: A CREATIVE GAME! It has no player or age limit, it is suitable to play both with family and friends. You don't need to have any kind of knowledge about art or materials, you just need to want to have a good time getting your hands dirty. 😁
It consists of painting a famous work of art, but with "special" guidelines.
Although you don't actually need any files to play, I leave you the link to the files that appear in the photos.
Do you want to learn how to play? Let's get to it!

MATERIALS
On the one hand, you will need paper (cut into rectangular pieces) and a pen to write works of art, materials, techniques,... (You can use the deck of cards in the downloadable file).
And, since the game consists of painting, we will need any materials we have at home. I leave you a list to give you ideas:
- Watercolor and/or drawing paper.
- Kraft paper, newspapers, wrapping paper, tissue paper, onion skin.
- Cardboard, cardboard.
- Soft waxes, hard waxes, watercolor waxes.
- Felt pens.
- Colored pencils.
- Acrylic paint, gouache, watercolors, inks.
- Threads, ropes.
- Glue, glue stick.
- Washi tape, masking tape.
- Cotton, gauze, bandages.
- Coffee.
It goes without saying that not all the material is necessary, three or four things you find at home is more than enough.

PREPARATION
For preparation you can use the downloadable deck or the pieces of paper and the pen, the purpose is the same.
We separate the deck into four piles: one for the famous paintings, another for the materials (gray), another for the technique (green) and the last one with the complementary materials (purple). This last pile is optional, it can be a nice excuse to take a trip to the countryside!.🌳
We shuffle all the piles and each player randomly (and without looking!) chooses a card from each pile.
Ready! Isn't it simple? All that's left to do is get to work on ART!
I did not design the box to store the letters, I leave you the link to the website so you can design your own templates.
EXECUTION
The next step has little to explain, it simply consists of carrying out the work of art including the materials and using the selected technique. Of course, other materials can also be used.
As for the duration, it might be interesting to set a time limit. When you get down to work, time flies!
As a suggestion, you can submit the final works to a vote. Who will be the winner? 🏅
The cool thing about this game is adapting it to your tastes, you may not like the works that I have chosen, then you change them!, or you can even add new rules. If you have already played this game, or a similar variant, I would love to hear your opinion. I read you in comments.
I hope you enjoyed today's post.
Until next time!
