Everyone talks about finding our personal style, selecting our own colors that make us unique,\u2026. Maybe if you are having a bad day, you decide to paint the sky in muted, dark tones. With the help of my swatch notebook, I reflected on which colors I liked the most and with which I achieved the most interesting mixtures.<\/p>\n<p>Over time, I realized that some of the colors I didn't use, they took up very valuable space in my palette that other tones could be occupying. When I am aware of it, I stop and give myself space. There is no perfect color combination, <strong>evolution is necessary to grow as an artist<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\r\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t<style>@media screen and (max-width: 1023px) {.thegem-vc-text.thegem-custom-6a801893ca93d728{display: block!important;}}@media screen and (max-width: 767px) {.thegem-vc-text.thegem-custom-6a801893ca93d728{display: block!important;}}@media screen and (max-width: 1023px) {.thegem-vc-text.thegem-custom-6a801893ca93d728{position: relative !important;}}@media screen and (max-width: 767px) {.thegem-vc-text.thegem-custom-6a801893ca93d728{position: relative !important;}}<\/style>\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\r\n\r\n\t\r\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element  thegem-vc-text thegem-custom-6a801893cabcc4388\"  >\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\r\n\t\t\t\t<h3>Analyzing my initial color palette<\/h3>\n\r\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t<style>@media screen and (max-width: 1023px) {.thegem-vc-text.thegem-custom-6a801893cabcc4388{display: block!important;}}@media screen and (max-width: 767px) {.thegem-vc-text.thegem-custom-6a801893cabcc4388{display: block!important;}}@media screen and (max-width: 1023px) {.thegem-vc-text.thegem-custom-6a801893cabcc4388{position: relative !important;}}@media screen and (max-width: 767px) {.thegem-vc-text.thegem-custom-6a801893cabcc4388{position: relative !important;}}<\/style>\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\r\n\r\n\t\r\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element  thegem-vc-text thegem-custom-6a801893cae211178\"  >\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\r\n\t\t\t\t<p>I leave you my initial color palette in case you are curious.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">There are colors that are <strong>essential<\/strong> for me today, such as <strong>Forest Blue<\/strong> (Schmincke), <strong>Greenish Yellow<\/strong> (Holbein), <strong>Buff Titanium<\/strong> (Daniel Smith), <strong>Naples Yellow<\/strong> (Sennelier), <strong>Light Red<\/strong> (Holbein) and <strong>Tundra Orange<\/strong> (Schmincke) .<\/p>\n<p>As you can see, they are not conventional colors, they are earthy and muted tones.<\/p>\n<p>The colors that I have decided to remove from my palette are: Lemon Yellow (Cotman), Turquoise (Cotman), Prussian Blue (Cotman), Viridian Tone (Cotman) and Burnt Sienna (Cotman).<\/p>\n<p>Before using lemon yellow I always used Aureolina (Sennelier); I have not used the turquoise and viridian tone even once; When I need a dark blue, I prefer to mix Payne's Gray (Schmincke) with any of the blues in my palette rather than using Prussian blue, and burnt sienna is very similar to light red. I have selected a few new shades and placed them in godets in the free spaces.
