I give my opinion on my Epson ET-7750 printer after 3 years of use
Hello again, dear readers!
In today's post I am going to talk to you about my Epson ET-7750 printer/scanner after having been using it continuously for 3 years.
Pros
This multifunction printer has been with me since the beginning of my career as a surface designer. Due to its high price, I had to think a lot about its pros and cons before deciding to buy it. To give you an idea, it cost me €600 in Amazon.
One of the features I liked most about it was that it gave me a high-performance home printer and a scanner in the same device. In addition, this series of ET (Eco Tank) series printers do not use cartridges but rather have refillable ink tanks. In my case, the Epson ET-7750, it has 5 tanks. One aspect to highlight about inks is that they last a long time. Since I bought it, I have only had to refill the tanks once. I still have the ink that comes with the machine when you buy it.
It has three trays through which you can put the paper: the upper one supports up to A3, a wonder!, one of the lower ones is for paper up to A4 size (with double-sided printing) and the other tray It is for photographic paper.
As you can see, it is an all-round printer, it does everything by itself.

Cons
Last year I had my first problem with it, I still don't know why but it started to stain the paper in the corners. This is a problem when you want to print borderless copies.
I did a lot of head cleaning, I researched online and, since it was still under warranty, I decided to take it to technical service. This was where the big problem came... and where I discovered the big drawback of this printer, the technical service (at least in Albacete) is very poor. The guys who helped me had no idea. They kept the machine to take a look at it... and, after a week of constant calls asking them to pay attention to me, they told me that they were going to send it to I don't know where... You can already imagine my anger,…. In the end I was without a printer for more than three months, with what that entails: without a scanner, without being able to make prints, nothing,….
Last week he started doing the same thing to me again. My legs began to shake with fear of going through the same thing again.
Researching again, I discovered that there is such a thing as “deep cleaning.” It is a deeper head cleaning that wastes a lot of ink but is more effective. I decided to give it a try before going through technical service hell again (plus, now the printer is no longer under warranty...). It worked!! Now I hardly ever get my paper dirty.
I don't know anyone who has a printer of this type to be able to share my experience. I don't know if it's normal for these things to happen or it's just my printer...
Conclusions
I suppose all printers need maintenance and from time to time they need to go through technical service for a tune-up. The big drawback is that they are so slow,…
An advantage that at first seemed like a charm to me, now I see it more as a drawback: I don't like the printer and scanner being together. Yes, you save space, but if the printer breaks down you are also left without the scanner (up to 3 months!!!).
I think if I could go back with my current knowledge, I would change my decision. I would still buy an Epson EcoTank printer since the print quality is amazing, but I would probably opt for another model without a scanner.
I hope my experience with this printer has been helpful to you,
until next time!
